A Cardiac Stress Test May Be The Wake Up Call We All Need.

A cardiac stress test evaluates your blood flow during exercise and then compares it to your blood flow when you are resting. You get hooked up to a whole bunch of wires and then walk on a treadmill or other exercise machine for a while and then you are tested to see the strength of your heart muscle.This test, usually reserved for the elderly, should probably be available to younger people as well since stress is out of control for people of all ages - even kids. The reality is that many younger people experience many stress symptoms all the time that could lead to heart problems sooner rather than later. The connection between stress and heart disease seems like a no brainer and you must work hard to can get stress under control or you will most likely cause damage to your heart. Stress management and stress relief are the key. This heart test is also known as the ECG Treadmill Test and is recommended by the American Heart Association for people with medium risk of heart problems. This includes smokers and people with a family history of heart problems, diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. But just to be on the safe side, it would be a good idea to solve some of your stress issues long before you have need of one of these or other heart tests.
