Panic Attack Symptoms
Do You Recognize Them
for What They Are?

Do you have panic attack symptoms? Have you ever had a panic attack? Would you know if you were having one? If you are lucky, then you have been diagnosed and you have a treatment plan for your panic attacks or anxiety disorder, but if you are not so lucky, then you may have no idea what is happening to you when you’re in the middle of one of these frightening events.  It seems panic attacks are far more common than they once were or maybe the world is just far more accepting of this condition, so people don’t try to hide it as much.

However, just in case you don’t already know, it may be a good idea to spend some time discussing panic attack symptoms, so you can seek medical help if you find yourself in one of these distressing situations.

Here is a list of 40 panic attack symptoms to get you started.

1.       A need to escape

2.       A sense of feeling smothered

3.       Anxiety about doing something embarrassing

4.       Chest pains

5.       De-realization (feelings of unreality)

6.       Dreamlike sensations

38.    Uncontrollable crying

39.    Uncontrollable screaming

40.    Uncontrolled shaking

It is more than reasonable to have a few of these symptoms from time to time; everyone does, but if you have many of these symptoms happening at the same time, if they ramp up quickly in under 10 minutes and if they have happened on multiple occasions, then it may be a good idea to consult a medical doctor for traditional medical treatments, such as anxiety medications, and a naturopathic doctor to find alternative solutions such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), Bach Flower Remedies and other stress management strategies.

However, bar none, if you are suddenly having symptoms of panic attacks when none existed before, the best idea may be to check in with your current life situation; your body may be trying to tell you something.  No drug on the planet is going to fix you if your problem is actually environmental.  It is far better to solve the problem than mask a bunch of panic attack symptoms.
